Unleash Luxury: Discovering a Dog-Friendly Staycation in Shanghai

Dog Friendly luxury resort

I put it as a 3/5 because the dogs are not allowed in the restaurant area and there is not a field in the area for the dogs, but the hotel staff had no problems with our dogs and check-in was easy even with our dogs.

We didn’t want to leave Shanghai, so we decided to do the next best thing. Explore the outskirts of Shanghai and really see what the city has to offer. We spent a week on Chongming Island, during our week we stayed at many different places. Our first stop was to am Anhui inspired villa. I loved the vibe of this villa; it was clean and serene. The villa was off the main road which meant it was very quiet with very little noise pollution. The staff spoke English and were very polite.
All we needed to show for our dogs was their vaccination booklet and we were good to go.

The room

We got our room keys and headed to our little area of the villa. The rooms are very large and super comfortable. They have 3 styles of rooms. A standard room where the bathroom is open to the rest of the room. There is also a garden room with a balcony (I got this room). In this room, the bathroom has sliding doors. And the third and coolest room has a private hot tub on the balcony (it was sold out when I went).

In all the rooms the beverages provided in the mini-bar fridge are free. Everything is included. The rooms all have a table, we combined two tables together and it was perfect for four-person board games.
Another great feature was the bathroom. Like most apartments in Shanghai, I don’t have a bathtub. I was amped to see a big bathtub in the bathroom. It also had a rain shower and an amazing bidet. The toilet seat cover has a motion sensor, great touch. My dog actually went exploring and got spooked by the automatic toilet seat and ran straight into the wall. He was okay, and honestly, it was kind of funny.
