Pups, Puppuccinos, and More
There aren’t many parks in the Puxi that are dog-friendly and the ones that are more dog tolerant than dog-friendly, but there is a relatively new dog park on the west bund that is a great option.
This park is great because it is enclosed with a double gate and a fence. The fence is a bit on the short side and if your dog really wanted to get out, they could, but it is a great place for a doggie play date.
Hugo loves to run around and get other dogs to chase him, so this dog park is perfect. There is always a lot of dogs running around off-leash and playing together.
The dog park is free to enter. They even provide poop bags and an area with water. There is also a small sandpit that seemed like more of a place to pee. We usually go in the mornings because it gets so busy in the afternoon. The park is right beside the Adidas running track and there is a nice walking area with the dogs.
There is a Starbucks next to the park and they offer free Puppachinos for your dog. A Puppachino is basically just whipped cream in a cup, but the dogs love it. Hugo always gets excited when we head to Starbucks because he knows he’s going to get a delicious treat. Make sure to have a napkin or cloth handy, it can get kind of messy. Hugo is always covered in whip cream by the time he’s finished.
Overall, this park is a great option to let your dogs be free and get their energy out. The facilities are well kept and the Puppachinos are a great added benefit.
