Shanghai Four Seasons Pet Theme Park
Shanghai Four Seasons Pet Theme Park (上海宠四季宠物主题公园 ) is an awesome dog friendly park with so much to do! There are play areas for kids that are enclosed as well as a small walking park beside the dog area with paddle boat rides in the lake.
The dog park area is fully enclosed, and it will only cost you 20 RMB per living thing. So, you and your dog each cost 20 RMB. This gets you access to the enclosed dog park. Within the enclosed section there are many different areas all of which have different activities or rides… yes, I said rides!
Dog Theme Park Play Area
This park has a dog friendly rollercoaster – a small one that is powered by a bicycle, a carousel type of ride (this one is only big enough for dogs) and hammock style swings that your dog can sit in. Neither of my dogs enjoyed these rides, but some of the more adventurous dogs seemed to like the swing. Many people were using these rides as props for photos more than actually using them as doggie rides.
Regardless it was fun to have the option of doggie rides in the park. For the timid dogs there is also a train style vehicle that drives around the park. We asked about taking dogs and they were completely fine with it, but dogs have to buy their own tickets to board the Choo Choo express.
Enclosed Dog Play Area
The enclosed section of the dog park is very well kept. There are a few hoses with drinking water for the dogs. The enclosed area is also divided into sections. With each section having gates and the entrance having two gates. It is very secure, and you don’t have to worry about your dogs escaping. When we were leaving the women working the front gate made sure there were no other dogs in the area before letting us out.
My foster dog is very timid and shy, and I was confident enough to let her off leash in this park because of how secure and enclosed it was. The fences are high enough that dogs cannot easily jump over them or escape.
Temperature Controlled Swimming Pool
There is also a temperature-controlled swimming pool. The pool is indoors and costs 80 RMB to enter. This gives you access to the pool and the washing and drying stations. From the look of it the washing and drying facilities looked really nice and well kept. There was also some pool floaties and a transparent canoe for use in the pool.
This is perfect if your dog likes swimming as the pool is large and clean. And you can be sure that your dog can enjoy the water in the winter without catching a cold.
