Great dog friendly hotels in Lijiang, Yunnan

Lijiang hotels are not only dog friendly but welcoming

To me Lijiang feels like a city that never sleeps. I have been there a few times over the years. It has a great nightlife, as well as day activities. Lijiang has so much to offer all traveler types. The hotels and guesthouses also reflect that notion.

Lijiang is a beautiful city with so many little guesthouses tucked away all over the city. We called a few guesthouses and most places we talked to seemed at ease with both foreigners and dogs. We ended up staying in two guesthouses and both were very welcoming of us and our furry companion, Nova.

Lijiang Yunshi Chanxin Inn

The owner of this hotel was super chill about everything. He was completely at ease with Nova. The inn even has its own dog, so that helped us feel at ease keeping Nova off leash.

There is a nice spacious balcony on the second floor. It is covered so it is perfect for a rainy day hang out. There was ample seating and the view from the balcony overlooked what looked like an authentic ancient city that people live in. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the bed, in mu opinion, was comfortable.

The area of the hotel is fantastic! You walk through lanes of guesthouses and make your way to Shuhe Ancient Town. As you walk to the ancient town you will pass a little park, prefer for the dogs. If you continue on you will get to Shuhe Ancient Town (also see our dog friendly things to do in Lijiang).

Lijiang Holy Snow Mountain Holiday Resort

This hotel was also completely at ease with Nova, our furry traveller. The rooms were spacious and very clean.

The hotel itself was very quiet, the hotel actually looked like it was in a residential area. The common areas also had a residential vibe to it as well. The hotel was actually fully booked while we stayed and we hardly saw or heard anyone else.

We had Nova off leash almost the entire time at this hotel and even brought her to the pool with us (not in the pool).

The only disadvantage is that there didn’t seem to be much going on in the area around the hotel. It would be hard to get around without a car.

The park is divided by a bigger street into north and south Park. The north park is more natural and less crowded.
The South Park a bit more developed with several
